Thanks for the kind words, guys. The most interesting thing to me about these contests is how many talented people you have in your audience.
I probably didn’t do the best job cutting my piece down to 1000 words. I didn’t really want to do another ‘sad guy in a bar’ story, and tried to keep as much of the non-bar stuff as I could. I’ll probably lengthen it back out and put it up somewhere.
